  Anybody a member of AAA? Would you recommend it?

  i'm thinking about joining the aaa auto club.

  my car is getting along in years and isn't going to get replaced any time soon.

  i'm imagining that my stranded-on-the-side-of-the-road moment is imminent.

  How many on this board started out here as JWs defending their "faith"?

  i left 6 months before i found this place........but if i had found it 15 years ago, i would have been one of those fighting tooth and nail for the watchtower bible & tract society.. i know this board has helped 100's if not thousands of people with the real truth about the organization............ in the face of logic and reason, how could it not!.

  Well Zico that wasn't exactly what I was looking for but .......

  Welcome...........I was a JW for over 52 years..........do you know how many were anointed 30 years ago?...............about 8,000............that was 30 YEARS ago!

  If this organization goes on another 30 years, quess What?..........There will aways be about 8,000 who will think they are the ones...........The organization well NEVER run out of anointed GB!.....Even though the door was shut 70 years AGO!

  This Is something they don't even have answer for!

  Whatever you do will be perfect............I stayed in for 16 years after I knew it was bullsh...T

  And Why............. I didn't what to loose my wife, kids and friends.

  I went to a "shrink" just before I left (actually it was my wife, that left) and after 3 visits of me telling him my crazy life story and him not saying much.........I said "So you see Doc....... It looks like I'm screwed no matter what I do".............He said "YEP"

  So my friend whatever you decide with be right..........for you.

  not wanting to highjack hoping4change thread..........it might be a good thing to share some of these sad stories in more detail.. i know of 4..............2 at bethel!.

  1 richard wheelock pressroom overseer for over 40 years.............it was after his death (jumping out a window at the farm) that the society soften their stand on suicides............they now might have a resurrection hope.......that was kind of god to change his/her mind....yes the light gets brighter!.

  2. james olson jumped out of the factory building # 4 oct. 31 1973.............they wouldn't let him leave.

  I know of 4..............2 at Bethel!

  3. My father inlaw Robert Stillman blew his brains out in 1991. One of the many reasons was he was not allowed to see or talk to HIS children or Grand children.............and why? He was DFed in 1958.

  4. My mother in a way............She stop taking her heart medication......and died shortly after that.......It was her way of checking out of a miserable life.

  What have been the strangest "Grounds for DFing?

  i'm sure there are many........... what happen in my family was crazy......... glendora califorina 1961.my mother wanted to change khs, it had a "bad spirit" there.

  there was also a mass exodus from the hall.

  she wanted to go to the azusa cong.

  Glendora Califorina 1961.My mother wanted to change KHs, it had a "bad spirit" there. There was also a mass exodus from the hall. She wanted to go to the Azusa cong. She went to get her publisher record cards, to transfer over (thats how they did it back then).

  The "brother" said they whated to talk to her and my Dad first........In the meeting, they said they didn't want us to go. We were a liked and respected family, they WANTED us to stay. The flow had to stop! We would be the ones to stop the retreat!

  The real reason was the CO was coming and the numbers looked bad.

  My Mom said NO!...............My folks wrote a letter to the society that basted the "brothers" ( they didn't know, that every letter sent to the society is sent right back to the committee...........The committee got the letter from the society.......That really pissed them off.......they called my folks back in! Then things got really bad............lots yelling and name calling.

  Bottom line my Dad got DFed for "Rebelliousness against the Organization" My Mother got "Public Reproof"

  After 2 years of going to different COs to get Justice (none of them wanted to get involved) My dad flew back to bethel and talked to Harly Miller in the Service Department. He set up a Special Committee to reopen the case............The whole thing was overturned......."The Brothers" got a slap on the wrist.

  My father, reinstated never went back..........He said "If this is love.....I'll go some where else!"

  P.S..............We lived 100 yards from the Azusa territory boundry.

  What is sad is the ones who where smart enough to not get baptized get rewarded with fellowship.......

  The poor kids who got baptized at 15 (to keep everyone happy)..........are screwed....if they ever leave.
